Lately...

- We’ve been using our umbrellas a LOT and listening to and loving the sound of the rain on the conservatory roof, ( gotta love the April showers)
- i’ve been making felt birds and elephants for Lola-Rose to play with.
- Watching what seems to have been all of Ryan Gosling filmography ( which I totally dont mind at ALL)
- I’m loving Soap & Glory even more so at the moment and seem to come from with something else from the range every time I have to go to boots.
- Have watched Toy Story more times than I care to remember (due to Elijah's new found love for Woody)
- Loving Lola-Roses new froggy shoes from Next
- Became obsessed with wearing more than one colour on my nails at a time.
- Discovered a movie called "Waiting for forever" and fell head over in heels in Love with it. (if you are a romantic like me, I totally recommend this film).
- Wallpapered the kids room with some AMAZING Laura Ashley wallpaper
- we’ve been dreaming about the future and all the plans we have….
- And looking forward to summer, and our family holiday....

My top "Cheer me" up Movies...

Its been a rather strange week this week, with the bank holiday and the Mr of work, it has totally threw our routine completely out of sync.
My mood has also been a little down, which I totally blame on the fact Wednesday was my birthday and I am now 29. A fact I hate (my last year in my twenties).
So to cheer myself up, out came the old faithful movies. The ones which are always a sure thing to put a smile on my face.

So I thought I would share my top 5 movies that I turn to, to cheer myself up and make me a happy mummy again.
Almost Famous
 My Girl
  Meet Me In St. Louis
 Pippi Longstocking
 My Neighbour Totoro
And I know that it is not a movie but the Tv show that is an all time hit to cheer me up is the one and only......
Gilmore Girls

Ok so which one to my Mr's horror to watch now........

If you go down to the woods today.....

Easter in the Dandelions and Kisses household means Easter Sunday down Yarwell Mill on Miss Marple (nanny and pops narrow boat),  a Easter egg hunt in the forest followed by hot sausage and bacon rolls and cups of tea and yummy cake to round it all of.
Elijah's Outfit; Jeans- Next, Shirt - John Lewis, Hoddy - Gap,  Trainers - Converse

This year was even more exciting with Elijah walking he was able to join in the Egg hunt with daddy's help (he however ate quite a few on the walk round and could not quite grasp the idea of putting them in his basket)

That cute little bunny has hopped all day,
delivering baskets for the holiday.
His paws are so tired and his nose how it itches,
He left you something special to fulfill all your wishes-
Lots of cute little Easter bunny hugs and kisses.

I really can not believe how much my Little man walked he really loved it, was his first time in the Forrest and he seemed to find it just as magical as Lola.
Lola got carried away looking for fairy's and completely forgot she was meant to be looking of eggs, luckily uncle Ki was more than keen to help (anyone would have thought he knew where the eggs had been hid ).
The weather as always was not fantastic but hey its England and a bank Holiday not much more to say on that subject. Rain in England on a bank holiday is a tradition in its self.
Ok so I now really need to stop blogging and get ready to go round the In-Laws (for roast lamb) Yum YUM. Well after a quick outfit of the day pic.
Lola-Rose outfit: T-shirt H&M, Skirt and tights - Next,  Boot - La Redoute .
Hope you have all had a lovely Easter and had a Awesome weekend what ever you may have done. xxx

This week so far I have been....

Totally in love these pictures I took of Miss Lola-Rose ( or should I say our little Lola Del Rey) wearing her new Lana Del Rey inspired flower head band.
Having lots of fun doing cute Easter activities. Wearing bunny ears, perfecting our cute bunny faces, Making cakes, Easter cards and painting Easter eggs.

Missing daddy lots as he has been doing over time at work (which has sucked big time but will be worth it when pay day comes round).
Getting Very Excited about having the Mr of for Six whole days over the Easter bank holiday.

Was sad to watch the very last episode of One Tree Hill (boy I cried). Can not believe this show has come to a end and joins my list of past TV loves  (Dawson's Creek, Gilmore Girls, Sex and the City, Friends to name a few..... ok  too name the best).

Drunk far to much coffee. Ok this could be added to any of my weeks list but any Mum of two toddlers under the age of 3 will know this is a must.
Loving how every day my Elijah is gaining so much independence ( and also a little sad by this). We discovered this week he is not a fan of cheese, loves the crusts left on this sandwich, laughs so hard when lola plays peek a boo with him. has discovered how to escape from his bedtime sleeping bag, loves having his feet and neck kissed. Is strangely obsessed with other peoples feet and is not a fan of the bunny ears headband.

And the best of all the weekend starts in about an hour when daddy gets home. Happy Easter everyone hope you all have a awesome Easter bank Holiday. xox

Flowers, Tea Party's and Fairy Hunting.

Its been rather quiet in the Dandelions and Kisses household this week, not much has happened really.
Lola-Rose broke up for the Easter holidays,
Elijah learnt to spin round and walk backwards to his amusement (not to mine, he has gained two new bumps to the head)
Lola-Rose wanted to have a fancy tea party and get all dressed up like a Princess. We had tea in great nanna's tea cups and saucers with home made biscuits.
Elijah walked to the shop the whole way (the longest he has walked bless his little cotton socks, boy did he sleep that night)and turned 14 months.
We watched both My girl movies as well as the weeks normal selections of Toy Story, Dumbo and Bambi.
Started reading Gone With The Wind..... again! (who knows how many times it is now)
Daddy took Lola-Rose fairy hunting to no prevail.
Played in the garden a great deal due to lovely weather, stopped Elijah from eating a worm to Lola's horror.
Lola-Rose and Daddy finished reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
And today we planted lots of flowers and bulbs in the garden including a "magic beanstalk".
Lola-Rose outfit - Dress - Next. Sequinned Shrug - Monsoon. Headband - Accessorize
Elijah outfit - Jeans - Baker Boy. T-shirt - H&M. Hoody - Gap. Shoes - Converse.
Elijah in daddy's Buster Keaton hat.
All worn out after a busy day playing and planting bulbs in the garden.

PixiGlow A little bit of Magic.

Where to start I can not begin to tell you how Excited I am by this new collection. I am a huge fan of the Pixi makeup. I love it and have a few items I can not live without.(All over magic and Eye Bright liner).
The concept behind it is brilliant, I love why Petra Strand started the brand and the fact she had mum' s and busy woman in mind. This to me appeals straight away.
So any how when I heard that Pixi would be collaborating with Disney in a new collection inspired by one of my all time fav Disney characters, I cannot tell you how excited I was.
The collection is called PixiGlow. This line features shimmery, pretty products for eyes, face and lips. It's a six piece collection inspired by Disney's Tinker Bell.

"The PixiGlow extension line offers that final sprinkle of twinkle for eyes, lips and cheeks, allowing women to turn an ordinary look into an extraordinary one while celebrating every day with a touch of magic"

Firsts things first The packaging, now coming from a background in Design I know it's wrong but I really can not help, the fact that I tend to judge and be drawn to items on their look and the packaging design (I guess it kinda stems from years of Textile design and analysing the way things look).

The packaging on these products will not disappoint in the slightest, Petra Strand, makeup Artist and Pixi creator worked with John Quinn, the Disney character artist to re-imagine the famous fairy and create a packaging design that incorporates the classic silhouette of tinker bell with a very sophisticated Vintage look.

You will not be embarrassed in the slightest to pull any of the items in the range out of your bag. I have purchased three items in this range (am maybe hoping for the rest for my upcoming birthday, hint hint to the Mr).
The first item is the 'Magic Tink Tint' in Happy Thought Pink. It's a huge, Crayon like balm that when applied to your lips reacts to your pH and adjusts to a perfect Pink shade !
It feels very hydrating, and tastes good it has a spearmint taste and lasts for hours.
It is super soft on my lips. It is not waxy or hard and left them soft and feeling very nourished. I am not one for bright lipsticks and love how subtle this colour is.

The next item I have is the Pirouette Pink nail varnish, now this colour is PINK, I'm not too sure if maybe it looks as pink because I have such pale skin but it is boarding on the Neon side, however I love it I think it will be fantastic in summer (I'm thinking cute flip flops and this lovely pink polish on my toes). I found it dried rather quick and has lasted ages without chipping and as a busy mum this is something I look for the most in a nail varnish. The only down side I found was it was slightly runny.

And last but definitely not least, what every fairy needs and every girl dreams of having 'Fairy Dust' in Moonlight. This loose powder pigment can be applied to the eyes or skin. I personally use it right above my blush as a highlighter and on the corner of my eyes, it gives a lovely cream-gold shimmer that blends very easy. I Find it gives the skin a lovely dewy look. It is amazing.
I would highly recommend all the above items which are available from Boots and Asos.

I am really interested to find out if any of you have ever tried products that naturally work with your skin's temperature or pH levels to give you your perfect hue? If so, what do you think? I am amazed by the concept but maybe I'm just a mum that needs to get out more! :-)

Twenty Something....

As I approach my Birthday and what will be my last year in my twenties, I have been reflecting. They seem to have sped by with a blink of a eye. I have loved my twenties. I have had some of the best times and experiences and the most life altering moments have occurred.

University -  Spending the days in a studio sketching and painting to my hearts content, learning so much about a subject I love. (drinking far too much coffee).
Living in a new amazing city. Not feeling guilty about my obsession for sketchbooks. Filling pages and pages with cuttings from fashion and interior magazines. Graduation being able to wear that silly hat and gown and  seeing my Parents and Damian's Proud faces.

Festivals, amazing festivals (Reading festival. The only one to do in my opinion), holidays with friends; Prague, Amsterdam and Paris. Sleeping in all day, watching movies all night. Not suffering with hangovers.

Babies, trying for a baby and the most amazing breathtaking feeling when two little lines appear on the test "Pregnant"( I love being pregnant. Words can not describe how amazing it is). First kicks, first scans, I love how many firsts have happened in my twenties.

It's a girl the words I longed to hear a beautiful amazing baby girl.

Planning a wedding. Again filling far too many sketchbooks with ideas and dreams. Having them dreams and more come true, thanks to amazing Parents. Finally being married to my soul mate after 11 years together.

New homes, family homes, decorating (all them sketchbooks were not a waste after all). Bedtime stories. Realising how amazing your parents really are and how hard a job being a Parent is.
"We never know the love of the parent till we become parents ourselves."
Saying the phrases you said you would never say  ("Because I said so", "I want doesn't get", "Just WAIT till your father gets home!").

Hearing the words its a boy. The feeling of  such overwhelming  joy.

.... family complete.

All that is left to say is I have high hopes to end my twenties with a bang ( a massive party sounds good)and I hope my thirties are going to be just as amazing. They have a lot to live up to.
